EXAMPLE OF COSTS FOR TORONTO SHUTTLE PROGRAMS
Company X was having trouble recruiting for their warehouse 25 minutes from outside downtown Toronto because of the surrounding bus service. We put together a full shuttle program package for the recruiting manager to present to their Operations team. We presented a plan that would be ready 30 days after given the green light and were able to start the program only 7 days after being given the green light on the program (Shuttles services were rolled out within 7 days).
The program included driver, 20 passenger bus and dispatch twice a day (8am and 4pm). The bus would pickup the morning shift and bring them to the company warehouse. 15 minutes after arriving the driver would deliver the evening shift back to the central pickup in Toronto. We would pickup the morning shift team members and deliver them back to the central location.
To ensure all three operating shifts had shuttles the program grew to 3 trips per day where our employee shuttle team brings the upcoming shift to the warehouse and then brings the ending shift back to their designated pickup location.
