Despite being one of the most well-known ski and mountain resort towns in the world, a trip to and around Whistler is surprisingly inexpensive and easy. Whistler is located closely to three international airports and is serviced by various transport providers and an expansive network of well-maintained roads.  

The closest airport to Whistler is the Vancouver International Airport. Once a visitor arrives at any of the three airports, visitors can only choose to arrive in Whistler by either air or by road.  For those locking to save a penny here and there, the best way to enter Whistler is by using the Whistler public transportation system.  Depending on the size of the group, budget and the amount of luggage present, there are numerous options for public transportation in Whistler to select from.

Whistler Shuttle and Bus Services

One of the most cost-effective ways to move from the airport to the town is by a Whistler Public Shuttle. The shuttle runs multiple daily services running from downtown Vancouver all the way to your Whistler hotel.  The services are daily and reliable, supplying you with sufficient space to store your entire luggage collection. The shuttles are also perfect for getting a lay of the land as they have big windows that are ideal for a maiden scenic drive.

Upon arrival in Whistler, the Whistler Shuttle makes few stops, so it is essential for you to have all the pertinent information regarding your stops before arriving in Canada. The public shuttle service is also available, and it operates daily from Vancouver covering a significant portion of Whistler territory.
